Join world-renowned dancer Sarita Allen to learn excerpts of iconic Ailey ballets that you’ll see performed on stage by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater this New York City Center season. 

Students will learn sections of classic works choreographed by Alvin Ailey including Night Creature, Masekela Langage, and Revelations. All levels of dancers are welcome!

Hand-picked by Alvin Ailey, Sarita Allen was an original member of Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble (now Ailey II) before joining Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater a year later. In her first season with the Company, Mr. Ailey created lead roles for Allen in two Ellington premieres: The Mooche (opposite Ailey veterans Judith Jamison, Estelle Spurlock, and Sara Yarborough) and Night Creature.
